Choosing the Right Honeycomb Pad Making Machine for Your Plant

10/1/20245 min read

When you plan a new honeycomb pad production line, the machine is only one part of the equation. Matching output capacity with real-world demand is critical to avoid both under-utilisation and choke points in your process.

Start by mapping your expected monthly requirement in square meters of pads, then work backwards into daily and hourly throughput. This gives a realistic baseline for machine capacity and shift planning.

Another important factor is product mix. If you manufacture pads in multiple thicknesses or flute profiles, quick changeover and repeatable settings become more valuable than maximum theoretical speed on a single SKU.

Finally, consider how the machine fits into your plant layout: material flow from paper rolls, space for resin circulation, access for maintenance, and safe movement of finished pads to packing or storage.
